National Oilwell Varco

National Oilwell Varco is one of the largest suppliers of gas and oil drilling tools and rig equipment. Its Houston facility is one of only three major US manufacturers of blow out preventors, which regulate pressure inside the well during drilling and are one of the most important elements in the drilling process.

National Oilwell recently finished several projects on its northwest Houston facility’s 30-acre campus, which includes engineering, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and assembly. The recent projects involved retrofitting the main administration building with updated heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) controls and the installation of 28 air-conditioning units across the campus. In addition, National Oilwell installed a brand new 750-ton chiller plant in the approximately 15,000 square foot machine shop. National Oilwell chose United Services Mechanical Corporation, Trend Control Systems’ technology center in Houston, to install and commission the Trend IQ control system.
